Professional Floristry Skills Programme (formerly the Intensive Course)(10 Days)

Our most comprehensive training programme – a two‑week professional course designed for students who have completed our Foundation Course or who have some basic floristry experience. This immersive programme covers everything from advanced bouquet construction to large‑scale event installations, giving you the technical skills, creative confidence and business insight to launch or accelerate your floristry career.

What You’ll Learn

Over 10 full days of hands‑on training you will cover:

  • Advanced hand‑tied bouquet techniques and spiralling

  • Wedding floristry – bridal bouquets, buttonholes, table flowers and large ceremony pieces

  • Funeral and sympathy designs – coffin sprays, wreaths and bespoke tributes

  • Event floristry – arches, columns, large installations and styling for corporate or private events

  • Contemporary and sustainable techniques, including foam‑free mechanics

  • Business foundations – sourcing flowers, pricing, branding, client care and building a portfolio


By the end of the course you will have created a wide range of designs, photographed your work for a professional portfolio, and gained the skills needed to take your first steps into the world of floristry.

Course Details

  • Duration: 10 days (Monday to Friday for two weeks, with the weekend free between weeks)

  • Time: 10 am – 4 pm daily

  • Location: The UK Flower School, Henham, Essex (CM22 6BJ)

  • Group Size: Max 10 students for personal, one‑to‑one guidance

Booking Fee

A 50 % non‑refundable booking fee is required to secure your place. The remaining balance is due 14 days before the course start date.

We welcome students from around the world. The school is only 10 minutes from Elsenham Train Station (direct to London), 10 minutes from London Stansted Airport and is set in the beautiful Essex countryside. We can recommend local accommodation options and provide an enrolment confirmation letter on request for visa applications.
